LOS ANGELES MAGAZINE's “BEST PAINTER IN L.A.”

BIOGRAPHY

Originally from Westport, Connecticut, I relocated to Los Angeles from New York City when my wife began directing television.  I have a B.A. in Literature from Denison University and M.F.A.s in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College and Musical Theater from NYU. I danced professionally in New York for several years and later choreographed musical theater.

My experience in dance and theater very much informs my approach to painting. My work ethic is disciplined and my eye is attuned to the nuance of color and composition.

I live in Hollywood in a 1920’s Spanish Revival with my wife, with whom I have two children, a business student and a lawyer.  I am an avid gardener and a jazz enthusiast.
